Admiral Radio

Inspired by their 1941 wooden radio, this award-winning South Carolina-based act creates an Americana sound rooted in tradition that touches the heartstrings of the modern-day listener. With tight vocal harmonies akin to The Civil Wars, Shovels & Rope, and The Carter Family, this husband-and-wife duo holds a presence that is palpable and real, both on and off stage. They released their debut album, Sounds Like You, shortly after their marriage in 2020 during the Pandemic. The full-band effort showcases the duo's haunting lyricism (Fear of Leaving), comforting harmonies and storytelling (Two Star Motel), ending with a folk-inspired rendition of Fleetwood Mac's 'Dreams'. Songs From the Vault marked the duo's sophomore effort and return to their calling in 2022. This independently-released E.P. features stripped-down songs from the public domain. True to their vintage name, Admiral Radio harks back to their roots, breathing dust off of old songs like 'Oh My Darling Clementine' and beyond. The duo's recent releases "Leave Me in the Dust" and “Love You Somehow” are the first singles from the upcoming EP. Recorded in Nashville with members of Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors. Admiral Radio has shared stages with critically-acclaimed acts like The Del McCoury Band, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Leftover Salmon, Judah & the Lion, and beyond.
