AIRFLO

Formed at the back end of 2022, and featuring former The Rotanas members James Wilson and Aled Owen, AIRFLO are a Bristol/Newport based Indie-Alternative outfit that combine nostalgia and euphoria into a unique musical experience that bends and combines genres and eras. The five-piece is completed by vocalist Joshua Heather (formerly of GETRZ), Wilson’s younger brother, Tom, on drums, and keys player Matt Evans. The band's sound is a melting pot of nostalgic and modern influences. With touches of noughties indie comparable to Bloc Party and Coldplay, combined with more current heavier sounds reminiscent of Chappaqua Wrestling and Wunderhorse, AIRFLO offer an alternative sound to what's produced by many guitar bands on the independent scene. Their debut single 'Drift Away' was backed by Steve Lamacq on his New Music Fix show on BBC Radio 6 Music, and it received repeat plays on BBC Introducing across Britain. 'Swansong', the band's second release, was recorded, mixed and mastered at Junkyard Studios, Newport, by Richard Jackson (Pretty Vicious, The Automatic, Super Furry Animals), and was notably played by John Kennedy on Radio X. Airflo's latest release 'With Me All The Time' was playlisted on BBC Radio Wales and Amazing Radio, and once again supported on Radio X by John Kennedy.
