April Tapes

April Tapes are a 4 piece alternative rock band based in Chesterfield/Sheffield. Their first single 'Giving Up' was released late 2022; however, the band fully formed in April 2023. The group consists of Max Stokes (vocals and guitar), Bethan Evans (bass and vocals), Angus Marnoch on drums and Henry Wright on lead guitar. The band's name is an ode to a folder on Max's computer consisting of song demos dated from April 2022 imaginatively titled 'April tapes'. Those early demos later evolved into the bands first two singles. Currently April Tapes records all of their music DIY. Creating their music in attics, living rooms, and bedrooms.
