Askar

Christian Singer/songwriter Askar is a new artist who started his music journey in January 2021. He is an independent artist who sings, writes, produces, and loves to use the guitar as his main instrument. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, he grew up always singing in choirs at school, church, and with his 3 siblings. In 2019 he was apart of a singing group ministry called Hope Ministries where he originally got to debut his first song "Dear Lord". With his spiritual background of growing up in church, this set him on the path to write uplifting Christian music. Since the hit of the Covid Pandemic this caused many including Askar to sink down into an unhealthy mental state, but at the same time also became a time of self-reflection. This is what gave him the push to start creating and sharing his music. He says, "I want to share relatable and hopeful music to a world filled with dread. Everyday people battle with anxiety, depression, self-hate, and other mental health issues. However, I want to share that there is hope out of this black hole of despair. That hope is Jesus!" Now he uses his music to inspire others and spread the good news of the gospel.
