Baby Brave
Pop / Mainstream Pop
Baby Brave are an indie pop band from Wrexham, North Wales.
Imagine a sound somewhere nestled between Warpaint and Talking Heads, playing classic pop songs with soaring melodies, disco rhythms, gut wrenching guitars and a sonic palette that ranges from echo-laden new wave to distorted post-punk.
The band received BBC Horizons Launchpad funding to record their debut album, ‘Sugar To The Tongue’, orchestrated by Cardiff-based producer Charlie Francis (R.E.M. Robyn Hitchcock, Future Of The Left), due for release in 2025 with Ode To Records.
The first single off the album 'Cherry Tomato' made the BBC Radio Wales A-List. It was playlisted by Rough Trade and KEXP, chosen as a Radio X "X-posture Hot One" - Then recieved high praise and multiple plays on 6 Music.
“That’s ace! Wrexham band brilliantly co-opting sounds of disco, new wave and no-wave New York City.”
- Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales
"Brilliant! How have I never heard of them?" - John Kennedy, Radio X
