Caspian Coberly’s rock ’n’ roll exists in a world where virtuosic guitar playing, sincere songwriting, nostalgic production, and mysticism reign supreme. Combining the enigmatic world-building and artistic excellence of classic seventies acts like T. Rex, Roxy Music, and Sly & The Family Stone with the internet-informed sensibilities of Soundcloud rap and hypnagogic pop, Caspian’s artistic vision represents a return to form for rock ’n’ roll whilst simultaneously exploring uncharted territory by way of aesthetic synthesis. Caspian’s musical journey began at the age of five; after obsessing over Jimi Hendrix and Mick Ronson concert videos, he begged his parents to enroll him in guitar lessons. At thirteen, he began experimenting with music production by way of sampling soul records and, not too long after, decided he would like to figure out how to record original music with the same sonic characteristics as the records he was sampling. After a couple of years refining upon a sound and style that sets him apart from anybody else in music today, the guitar wizard Caspian Coberly emerges, flying the flag of maximum rock ’n’ roll high.
