DEBBY FRIDAY

DEBBY FRIDAY is a Canadian musician, writer and filmmaker. Autodidactic by nature, she emerged onto the scene in 2018 with BITCHPUNK, a self-produced and self-released EP that introduced her genre-blurring sound and fearless creative ethos. Following the underground success of her debut, she released her second EP, 2019’s DEATH DRIVE (Deathbomb Arc), marking her first directorial foray with the lead single’s music video for FATAL. In 2023, she released her debut LP, GOOD LUCK (Sub Pop) to critical acclaim. The New York Times described the album as “ambitious and charismatic”, calling FRIDAY a “shape-shifting dynamo journeying through different tempos and genres.” Six months following its release, the album was crowned the winner of the 2023 Polaris Music Prize. FRIDAY has followed up her debut with singles "let u in" (made during a tour stop in Australia with Melbourne based producer, Darcy Baylis) and 2024's baile-inspired industrial club jam "To The Dancefloor". DEBBY FRIDAY is currently working on her sophomore record, due summer 2025.
