Deep as Ocean

Deep as Ocean is a modern metal band, whose music can be best described as a blend of nu and melodic metalcore. DaO has been working industriously to cement its place in the world music panorama since 2016, when the band was co-founded by two brothers, guitarist Alberto and drummer Riccardo Buttò. Their band was joined by vocalist Matt Bonfanti, bassist Matteo Acquati, and second guitarist Andrea Fabro. The band announces their second album entitled “Dance with Death” out on November 22nd. A recurring theme throughout the album is that of the end, which can be interpreted in a variety of ways such as the end of a story, the end of a period, the end of existence itself and starting again. The dance with death is this: you go arm in arm with your demons for a long time, risking transforming into them and, like in a dance, you get closer, you move away and you inevitably remain linked. This dance is dangerous; sometimes you can no longer do without it, but it is a necessary dance to exorcise death itself.
