Georgie Hume & The Pity Party

Georgie Hume & The Pity Party are a London based trio led by guitarist George Hume, who's sound incorporates a blend of 60's Jamaican jazz and Cuban inspired rhythms, creating a sound that has been described as 'Tropical Jazz'. Formed in London in 2023 the trio also features Silas Maitland on bass and Loris Peverani on drums. Their debut EP was released in April, 2024 featuring tracks "Big Wave", "Little Eddie" and a cover of George Moxey's "Sol Tropical". To coincide with the release a live session was recorded at Toe Rag Studios. Follow up single "Oh Regina" was released over the summer and a special Halloween inspired cover of The Special's "Ghost Town" in collaboration with singer Ade Omotayo (Gorrilaz, Amy Winehouse) followed in October of 2024. The band's debut album will be released in 2025.
