Jack Wharff

Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Jack Wharff and his band The Tobacco Flatts play a stunningly unique blend of bluegrass, country and rock. Wharff grew up surrounded by bluegrass through his father’s band, The Slack Family, developing a deep connection with the sound from a young age. Into his teenage years, the now 21-year-old lead singer began writing his own songs as a way of recreating the raw emotions and feelings of his past. In 2023, Wharff met drummer Garrett Howell and bassist Ryan Atchison at an open mic night in downtown Richmond, forming The Tobacco Flatts almost instantly, later adding guitarist Evan Novoa to the band as well. Now, the band has burst onto the scene with snippets of jaw-dropping original songs posted to TikTok and Reels, cementing the newly formed group as one of the most promising up and coming acts.
