Mentari Novel, an Indonesian singer-songwriter born on March 14, 1993, in Sukabumi, West Java, inherited her musical prowess from her father, Novel, a renowned rock vocalist of the 1960s. Raised in Sukabumi, she flourished under her father's guidance, launching her singing career in her hometown. In 2011, she ventured to Jakarta to study at Universitas Indonesia, while never forsaking her love for music. Despite the loss of her father in 2016, Mentari persevered, auditioning for labels, appearing on "Social Media Sensations," and collaborating with Eka Gustiwana from "Weird Genius," releasing singles like "Entah Sampai Kapan" and "Talk To Me," the latter self-produced. In late 2019, she met Andika Deva, a session guitarist for Pamungkas, inspiring him to pursue his dream of music production. Together, they embarked on creating Mentari's single "Pelabuhanku" and an album, "That Girl,".
