MPAK - Atmospheric Black Metal - Germany It's been over 20 years since we lost everything and had to flee from the radiation into the tunnels. Since then we have had to fight for our survival every day: against hunger, radiation, mutants and the worst enemy of all - other survivors. Plagued by post-apocalyptic nightmares, the band embarks on a dark journey through the ruins of a destroyed civilization. Inspired by Dimitri Gluchowski's post-apocalyptic Metro 2033 trilogy, Danny Boyles “28 days later ”and symphonic Black Metal of the early 2000s, the band embarks on a dark journey through the ruins of a destroyed civilization. The band MPAK (Bulgarian for darkness) did not form until autumn 2020. Still the band was able to record a first demo “… of death and darkness” already in the spring of the following year. In April 2022 a live video named "Pestilence, war, famine, death" was released and the recording of the first album started.
