Oke Junior

Oke Junior is a rising hip hop artist from Oakland, California, known for his vivid storytelling, sharp lyricism, and relentless work ethic. Growing up with five brothers and two sisters in a two-bedroom apartment in East Oakland, Oke experienced the challenges of financial hardship. With his father hailing from Warri, Nigeria, and his mother from Oakland, Oke’s upbringing was a blend of cultural influences. At the age of ten, he began writing music as a form of self-expression, but the environment around him started to have a negative impact. Seeking a fresh start, his parents allowed him to move to Napa with his older brother. In Napa, Oke thrived both musically and academically, earning a full-ride academic scholarship to Sacramento State in his senior year of high school. While at Sacramento State, Oke continued to build his music career, handing out CDs on campus and releasing numerous projects. Oke’s talents and drive have earned him recognition from hip hop legends such as Too $hort, Mistah FAB, Sway Calloway, and NFL Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch. His music has been featured on both local and national radio stations, and has been synced on major platforms including ESPN, NFL Network, Bulleit Liquor, and Overtime Elite. Now, with a partnership deal with UnitedMasters, Oke Junior is solidifying his place as one of the West Coast’s most promising hip hop talents.
