Rebecca Porter

A singer-songwriter born in Guam and raised in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Rebecca Porter released her debut EP, “Prime Rainbow Conditions,” in 2022. Her first songs performed from the church stage as a young child, Porter reunited with music as a young adult singing backup in local new grass, jam and cover bands. After the birth of her child in 2019, Porter felt a wave of change and decided to dive even further into songwriting and her love of country music. She continues her steady climb as one of Virginia’s artists-on-the-rise with a bustling schedule of live shows, creating safe spaces that promote country music is for everyone, as well as the upcoming fall 2023 release of her second EP, Queen of the Local (Deluxe). With swooning guitars and channeling classic country perfection, Porter’s music is compared to the likes of Alison Krauss, Neko Case and Emily Nenni.
