Sopraterra

The single “The Primal Regret” is the initial offering by Sopraterra, the new shared musical project by Zurich-based artists Magda Drozd and Nicola Genovese . Taken from the upcoming LP Seven Dances to Embrace the Hollow, set to be released in February 2025 by Swiss avant-garde-experts Präsens Editionen and La Becque Editions, the composition is an adequate introduction to Sopreterra’s conceptual and sonic framework: leading with a crystalline melody, “The Primal Regret” evokes in its acoustic tapestry memories of ancient times, of histories never experienced but nonetheless felt.
