Sun King Warriors is a six-piece musical tornado of of rhythm and energy, led by Jim Donovan—former founding member of Rusted Root. Known for their “vintage rock with two tons of drums” sound, the Pittsburgh-based band combines the gritty soul of classic rock that marries Zeppelin sonic power, with the uplifting energy of Rusted Root, and a touch of Americana storytelling. At the heart of a Sun King Warriors music is the band’s mission: to uplift, connect, and transform. Their infectious energy turns every show into a communal celebration, where fans from all walks of life, come together to dance, smile, and leave with full hearts.
