Tender Claws

Born in Belfast, Tender Claws is based in Liverpool. As an independent alternative rock artist, she is inspired by grunge & alternative rock artists such as Queens of the Stone Age, Pixies & many grunge acts of the 90s; as well as punk pioneers like Iggy Pop & Adam & The Ants. Her resulting gritty, raw sound is accompanied by her dark vocals. She released her debut single, ‘Anglerfish’, in June 2024 which has been described as “an enigmatic, grungey track” & “deep & powerful” in reviews. Her second single, ‘I'm a Leech’, was released in September 2024. It has been described as “catchy yet menacing” & “reminiscent of PJ Harvey's emotionally charged delivery”. It has received support from BBC Introducing Merseyside & was added to Amazing Radio’s core (B-) playlist. Her latest explosive single 'Inferno' is out now. Following a sold out headline in Liverpool and a slot supporting Dog Race earlier this year, she will next be playing at FOCUS Wales in May.
