The Fringe

From studio sessions in 1967-1968, The Fringe recordings were re-issued just prior to their 50th anniversary in their original mono glory. This Toronto based pychedelic garage rock band, popular in the late 1960s commercially released 4 songs on 2 singles. Thirteen tracks are available here mastered from the original analog tapes. The Fringe, formed in 1967, are mostly remembered for their continent-wide touring, TV appearances and hard driving grunge-rock performances. Founding members were the late Chuck Cadman (guitar & keyboards), a thrice-elected Member of Parliament, along with Doug Daniel (bass), John Murkin (lead vocals & guitar) and Chris Thomas (drums). The cover photo was taken on the steps of the Night Owl in Toronto's famous Yorkville area.
