The Gothard Sisters

Hi! We’re the Gothard Sisters, a Celtic Folk band of three sisters from Seattle, WA in the USA. Thanks for listening to our music! We originally fell in love with Celtic music after listening to the new Celtic folk and rock music of the 80s and 90s while driving through the mountains on family camping trips. What drew us to the genre over and over again was how it can somehow be both soothing, uplifting and energizing at the same time. You can be swept away to another time and place without going anywhere at all. The assortment of acoustic instruments in our music include violin, acoustic guitar, mandolin, penny whistle, vocals, mandolin, bodhran, djembe, and even Irish dancing. Our latest album Dragonfly was inspired by the natural beauty of the west and explores themes of resilience and adventure. Other albums we’ve recorded near our home in the Pacific Northwest include A Celtic Christmas, It's the Little Things - 10 Years, Midnight Sun, Falling Snow, Mountain Rose, Compass, Story Girl, Christmas and Christmas Violins.
