The Zebecks

Over the last two decades, Scotland has gained a reputation for producing a wave of acclaimed and iconic bands — the likes of Twin Atlantic, Glasvegas , We Were Promised Jetpacks, and Frightened Rabbit. Now, The Zebecks are carrying the Scottish Indie torch for the next generation. Originally from Elgin in the North-East of Scotland, the four lifelong best friends left their small-town lives behind to pursue their shared musical dream in Glasgow. Since then, they’ve cemented themselves as an unmissable live act, sharing stages with Glasvegas, Been Stellar, Basht., Parliamo, SLIX, and Declan Welsh and The Decadent West. 2024 saw The Zebecks go from strength to strength, with three single releases, a headline show at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, and a standout BBC Introducing Stage performance at Tenement Trail, where they brought the festival’s headliner Declan Welsh and The Decadent West onstage to perform their single Life Advice together. Closing out the year with a sold-out hometown show in Elgin, the band now enters 2025 with an exciting new chapter — a documentary exploring their roots, journey, and why Elgin has more to offer than the currently central belt-dominated Scottish music industry suggests. With Vic Galloway (BBC Radio Scotland) naming them in his “25 Scottish Artists to Watch in 2025”, The Zebecks are primed for a breakthrough year, with new music set for release in the spring.
