Zoumer

Danish-Algerian singer and producer Yasmina Derradj goes under the moniker Zoumer, a name in tribute to the 19th-century Algerian resistance fighter Lalla Fatma N’Soumer. With a mix of synthesizers, breakbeats and the spirit of raï and punk, she made her debut album ‘Green World’ to unanimous praise in the Danish press. Music outlets like Soundvenue and Undertoner hail her as being the closest Denmark has to artists like Björk or Grimes - a rising electronic artpop force.
